This was bound to happen…Antonio Brown does something really immature and stupid no matter who he is playing for.
So yesterday I reported about A.B.’s latest Tweet about how he was not happy in being fined by the Raiders for missing practices. Yesterday he was on the field practicing but away from the team during stretching routines doing it on his own instead. Then he takes a pass from Derek Carr and runs into the end zone where he promptly whips the ball into a fence behind the end zone. DUDE…GROW THE F#$#$# UP!
If that wasn’t bad enough then check out today’s misbehavior. It is now being reported that the Raiders will be suspending the immature jerk because he got into a heated argument with new General Manager Mike Mayock. Mayock who is a former play and ESPN analyst played a big part in bringing Brown to Oakland but now you have to wonder if he regrets it.
According to reports, A.B. had to be held back from going after Mayock in the argument. Not getting the chance to get in his general manager’s face, Brown resorted to kicking a ball and inviting Mayock to fine him some more and even made the threat to punch his GM in the face. NICE. One word easily describes the former Steelers receiver…ASSHOLE.
Who the hell would want this dumb punk on their team? Hey Steelers Nation…aren’t you freaking glad he’s not on our team anymore? Good gracious. Said Mayock:
“Antonio Brown is not in the building today. He won't be practicing. I don't have any more information for you right now.”
We Steelers fans knew the deal. So on the flip side we have Le’Veon Bell who debuts on Sunday with the Jets and wants to carry the ball 50 times. He’s a phony. I’m not sure what this wanna-be-rapper’s problem is but he whined like crazy about being overworked in Pittsburgh now he wants to carry or receive the ball at every chance. Said Bell:
“I could carry 50 times if they ask me to. I've been waiting a long time for this moment.”
Yea, you’ve been waiting since late 2016. More than a year off and he’s going to be the same runner? NOT. WHATEVER…
Bell was mentioned in an article I found which follows that lists 100 predictions for the season that begins tonight. As you will see on my menu bar above, I’ve added a new page that each week will have my Steelers preview and my predictions for the week’s slate of games. The opening day picks and preview for the Steelers/Patriots has been posted.
100 bold predictions for the NFL's 100th season
theScore Staff, theScore.com
You probably didn't expect the storylines leading up to the 2019 NFL season to include Andrew Luck's sudden retirement, or Antonio Brown flirting with his own permanent exit from football simply because he couldn't wear his favorite helmet, did you? But the unending parade of the unexpected is what makes the NFL so great, from the slightly weird to the OMG is that headline real? As the league begins its 100th season, here are 100 bold predictions for what will transpire next. We bet you won't see some of these coming:
Best of the best
5. JuJu Smith-Schuster leads the NFL in receptions.
59. Antonio Brown breaks the single-season Raiders records for catches (104) and yards (1,408).
63. Le'Veon Bell leads the Jets in rushing, catches, and targets.
This weekend Bellator has fights and UFC 242 is on mid-day on Saturday. There we will see if Dustin Poirier can do the unthinkable and pull off an upset on lightweight champion and the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov. I’ll make my picks on that card tomorrow but I fully expect Khabib to smother Poirier and win.
Also in MMA, UFC President Dana White was completely prepared to allow former champion B.J. Penn to continue fighting despite losing like seven fights in a row. Not anymore. With Penn’s recent altercation in public, White has cut the rope. Said White:
“He won't fight again. It's hard for me to turn him down, but after what I saw on that video, BJ needs to focus on his personal life and get himself together before he thinks about fighting again.”
Dana White recently cut ties with Cris Cyborg as well but she has found a new employer and that is Bellator President Scott Coker and now his organization has another star on its roster.
