Indianapolis Colts’ quarter Andrew Luck’s father Oliver Luck is currently the CEO and XFL Commissioner for the league that is set to begin playing football again next year.
With that said, he probably wishes his son could play in the league created by WWE king Vince McMahon. Instead, he has just inked an EX-Steeler to a contract to play and that is Landry Jones. Luck said of Jones:
“We're excited to welcome Landry to the XFL as our first player and first quarterback. He's an accomplished athlete with outstanding college credentials and pro experience, and his heart and desire to play football epitomizes the type of individual we want in the XFL.”
Ahhh…Jones got ousted from the Steelers with the arrival of Mason Rudolph and the play of Joshua Dobbs. He was then signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars and released. So I’m not sure he is going to overwhelm the teams in the XFL. Still, Jones is excited:
“I'm looking forward to joining the XFL and playing the game I love. I can't wait to suit up.”
In the world of MMA and specifically the UFC, Conor McGregor has gone from champion to chump. That’s because ever since losing his title to Khabib Nurmagomedov, the former Irish champ has been in constant trouble out in public. Well, he’s at it again...
In the video to the right, you will see McGregor in an altercation with a patron at a bar while McGregor tries to get others to try his Proper 12 whiskey. Apparently this gentleman did not want anything to do with drinking it which McGregor took offense too and words were exchanged than a punch from the fighter.
One word for Conor on this one AGAIN…JERK. Then you have Nate Diaz conducting an open workout for this weekend’s UFC 241 and he takes a break to light up what appears to be a joint. Diaz says it was legal CBD and not pot. Either way, it does not shine a good light on Diaz but then again, this is a man who throws caution to the wind and does whatever he feels like doing. In a weird way you have to admire that. Especially when he gives shit to a bigger jerk than Conor McGregor, the president of the UFC, Dana White.
